This freestanding tiki is carved from one of our most beautiful New Zealand timbers, Kauri. Crafted from ancient swamp kauri, the timber is estimated to be more than 40,000 years old! The Maori tiki represents the first Maori man. The tiki is seen as a good luck charm, and as a fertility symbol. Many women wear a tiki with the aim of being able to conceive. This fresstanding carved tiki stands approximately 6.5cm high, and is mounted on a black oval mound. Proudly made in New Zealand.
